4.5 stars. This series continues to surprise me and amaze me with all the twists and turns that I'm not looking for but enjoy every bit of. Kathleen and Kade are spending more time together because Kade is training her and protecting her. Whether that's a good or bad thing remains to be determined from their point of view. Because I adore Kade, I see this as a positive effect even if Kade seems uncertain at times. What I do love is their conversations and how they can be at ease with one another with a natural honesty that I don't quite see between Blane and Kathleen because Blane doesn't share anything about himself even though he definitely cares about Kathleen a lot. While Kade is rather secretive, too, he's very attentive about what Kathleen needs or wants, down to the details of things like making sure she has a safe car to drive or pointing out that she's too smart for her job and so forth. Even when he's prickly, he's still very dependable. As for Kathleen, I always have a soft spot for her because she has no family so when a relative of hers comes into the picture, I wanted her to regain that sense of familial comfort. Unfortunately, with where the story is going, Kathleen faces danger at nearly every turn and really goes through the wringer in this one. But what I admire her is her strong sense of survival and self-preservation, yet she has a deep compassion for others, too, so her loyalty never wavers. Really loving these characters and eager to see what happens next.

Turning Point Kathleen Turner Tiffany Snow 9781611099836 Books Reviews

I am still reeling from this book. I like to write my reviews when I am still fresh in the book.
The title is very apt for this one.

First off there is a lot of stuff happening in this one. I think this is my favorite installment yet of the series. Its just non stop stuff happening. Some nasty dark stuff too and lots of bullets. And Kathleen gets whipped around more than some french mousse in this one. Ouch.

As much as I can get annoyed at times with her to sticking her nose, or face into things, knowing she is going to get hurt, I respect her as she always does it with this noble need to want the best for everyone. She isn't wired to just walk away, even if it gets her into some really bad situations. Honorable I would call her. All involved though have one thing in common, stubbornness. The constant need to want to protect the other makes all of them not be open about everything, which of course we all know leads to disaster.

It also opens up the way to distrust.

This installment is also where cases and personal lives are intertwining and going on a collision course. I could see it coming, but couldn't look away like a bad crash. Or couldn't stop turning the pages in this case.

I am still a bit stunned to be honest and instead of going to a different romance sub-genre, as I usually do, I am going to buy and read the 4th in this series right away. I am just not ready to go yet. I can't let go.

Whats also crazy is that the book is 444 pages. I flew through this so fast it didn't seem enough. I wanted more, that is how much I love this series.

** read January 2014
Having already used my Prime lending library credit for Book 2 (Turn to Me) earlier this month, and absolutely needing to read the next installment asap, I bought Turning Point. I'm also an avid Audible listener, so I added on the Whispersync for Voice Audible version (first time I've tried this). WOW, WOW, WOW!!! I already knew I loved this series, but, the Audible version was even more addicting. The Narrator, Angela Dawe, did a truly amazing job of bringing each character to life! I listened to the nearly 12 hours of audio in about a day!

This third installment starts with Kathleen Turner, the female lead character (the books are written from her perspective) now training for and working at her new career as a private detective for Blane Kirk's law firm. Blane, one of the two main male characters in the series, and her on-again, off-again boyfriend is a Navy SEAL turned hot shot criminal lawyer with political aspirations. It wasn't Blane, however, who promoted Kathleen, but instead his brother, Kade Dennon (a former FBI agent, turned assassin and part owner of the law firm, who has also been developing his own form of a relationship with Kathleen). Turning Point has Kathleen, Blane and Kade thrown into even more dangerous situations with some serious twists and turns as Kathleen's relationship with each brother continues to develop in its own special way. Throw in a really huge "Turning Point" at the end of the book and you have another amazing, 5-star read from Tiffany Snow!

Without giving away any spoilers, all I will say is that this book has it all action, mystery, suspense, humor and romance all tied up in an extremely well written package! The incredible twists and turns that Snow takes you through will leave you questioning everything, including who is truly good or bad (if such a thing even exists) and who Kathleen should trust with her life and her heart!
